Asbestos Air Monitoring Specialist
A growing, reputable, small, diverse environmental consulting firm with an established local client base, seeks a full-time Air Monitoring Specialist (AMS). The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, self-reliant, a problem solver, organized, reliable, and looking for a career in environmental consulting.
This position requires strong verbal communication skills, excellent time management, organizational skills, accuracy, and a positive attitude. Duties Include:
- Asbestos air monitoring
- Asbestos abatement oversight
- Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) analysis
- Communicate with clients, government agencies and coworkers in a professional manner.
- Data management and reporting
- Certified Air Monitoring Specialist (AMS)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Enthusiasm to learn new skills and participate in training
- Must be reliable and detail-oriented
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Must have excellent communication and writing skills
- Willing to work off hours, weekends, and out of town. (However, most projects are within Denver Metro Area and during regular business hours)
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certification
- NIOSH 582 Certified
- Certified Asbestos Building Inspector
- Asbestos in Soils oversight experience
- Construction and building systems knowledge
