A growing, reputable, small, diverse environmental consulting firm with an established local client base, seeks a full-time Environmental Technician. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, self-reliant, a problem solver, organized, reliable, and looking for a career in environmental consulting.
This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent time management, organizational skills, accuracy, and a positive attitude. Duties Include:
- Sampling for environmental projects, asbestos, lead-based paint, radon and mold
- Preparing technical reports
- Communication with clients, government agencies, and coworkers professionally
Requirements:
- BA or BS in Environmental Science or similar (a high school diploma may be considered with experience)
- Enthusiasm to learn new skills and participate in training
- Must be reliable and detail-oriented
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office - including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Must have excellent communication and writing skills
- The majority of our projects are within Denver Metro Area and during regular business hours
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certification
- Certified Asbestos Air Monitoring Specialist
- NIOSH 582 Certified
- Certified Asbestos Building Inspector
- Certified Lead-Based Paint Inspector
- Asbestos in Soils oversight experience
- Construction and building system knowledge
