During this HR-centric course, legal issues surrounding human resources will be discussed. This includes hiring, state and federal employment requirements, labor sourcing and community programs for hiring. Participants will learn how to develop an employee handbook. Additional course content includes safety regulations and emergency preparedness as well as 401K and new employer laws; compliance with employee and employer guidelines; HR legal requirements; and federal, state and local laws.
